Anyone else been taking Phentermine long-term?
I have been taking phentermine (37.5mg) 4-5 days a week for over two years (I don't take it on the weekends). At first, I lost weight, but have actually gained weight in the last year. It still suppresses my appetite and I eat less on the days I take it. But for some reason, I've gained weight. Is it possible for phentermine to aid in gaining weight? I've quit taking it for a few weeks at a time, but end up going back to it because I'm so tired at work without it. I don't suffer the usual negative side effects from it. I sleep at night and don't feel nervous. I actually feel better and have a normal amount of energy on the days I take it. It also controls my allergy/sinus problems. I had to take Zyrtec for my allergies prior to taking the phentermine. Is there anyone else out there that has been taking phentermine long term? Is there anyone else who gained weight while taking it?

You are experiencing something that I already experienced. I took Phen four years ago (long term, about a year) and I really lost so much weight. I stopped only because I was already gaining weight even though the pill was there to assist me. A doctor told me once that people who took Phen will definitely gain weight after a while. Somehow our body will get so immuned with the pill and will cause some serious weight gain. Believe me, I gained so much weight, even more than what I used to weigh before I took the Phen. I should have listened to my doctor back then and just waited till I lost the weight in a natural way. I suggest you stop taking the pill, the after effect may not be good for you in the long run.

Everyone I have known that took it is gaining that weight back and then some including my own hog behind I thing that other person above me has the right idea stop taking it and try the harder but much better way to lose weight, diet and the dreaded E word....DOM DOM DOM exercise I hate it but i'm in your boat I feel like an addicted druggie with those pills I feel like I need it or nothing else is gonna help. But they only impend the inevitable ur gonna have to eventually stop taking them and lose the weight solo so might as well be now before you blow up like that aunt of Harry Potters, remember? You know when she floated her big rump right out the door and up into the sky...ok well good luck K?
