Is phentermine really a dangerous product to take?
I believe the NHS doesn't prescribe it anymore but many diet clinics in london give it to patients.

The reason why Phentermine in the States because it was causing heart attacks in certain people that were taking it. So since there was such proven cases of potential adverse reactions the FDA pulled it off the market.

Phentermine is a drug primarily used as an appetite suppressant. Chemically, it is an amphetamine (and a phenethylamine). It is typically prescribed for individuals who are at increased medical risk because of their weight, as opposed to cosmetic weight loss. Phentermine is sold either as an immediate-release formulation (Adipex®) or as a slow-release resin (Ionamin®, Duromine® in Australia and New Zealand).
Phentermine is still available by itself in most countries, including the U.S. However, because it is an amphetamine, individuals may develop an addiction to it. Hence, it is classified as a controlled substance in many countries. Internationally, phentermine is a schedule IV drug under the Convention on Psychotropic Substances. In the United States, it is classified as a Schedule IV controlled substance under the Controlled Substances Act.

Do you really want to have all that, for the sake of being slimmer?!

I'm not familiar with this one but diet pills can be really dangerous, so you should go to weightwatchers or something instead. Some have horrible side effects like diarrhoea and heart problems.

It is an addictive and potentially dangerous amphetamine banned from NHS prescribing due to its dangers.

Like all drugs of its type it is universally unsuccessful in producing sustained weight loss.

I have to admit I have a 'stock' answer for this question, since if you look it appears 20-30 times every day!!!

Type 'guaranteed weight loss' into google, you will find 1 1/2 million sites!

Look around you if ANY of these things worked would we be getting so overweight?

We are what we eat, but we are at least as much what we don't do. Calorie intakes in 1900 and 1950 were higher than they are now, we just don't use them up!

Eat a balanced diet with plenty of fruit and veg.

Take a healthy amount of exercise 30-40 minutes of vigorous exercise per day 4-5 days a week. I hate to think what percentage of the UK population does that 2%? 5%?

I have seen hundreds of questions with this same pattern :- I am fat, tell me where on line I can get this super diet or herbal/dangerous/illegal drug that I hear will fix it for me in 10 minutes without the need for me to get off the couch!

No fixes pal , less in more out, its the only way.
